History

 

William Warwick was originally the Master at Arms for Providence Plantations, Rhode Island in 1610. He purportedly died in 1611 in a strange lightning storm. All that remained was his hat and his two swords.

Centuries later, in 2016, at a formal Thanksgiving dinner at the Rhode Island State House, several colonial artifacts were put on display for the event; artifacts that included Warwick's swords and hat.

The swords, never having been in proximity to each other since 1611, were placed together in a display case, crossing each other. This action reanimated Warwick, full and hearty, from the past.

After a LOT of adjustments and meetings with the church, a bewildered Master Warwick considered the entire event to be "God's Work", set himself to using his new God-given weapons, abilities and comrades to continue doing said work.

 

Today, he is a member of the 'benevolent protectors' of New England, calling themselves the Yankee Minutemen. He is overwhelmed by the blasphemers and evil that walks the land, and although his fellow compatriots are 'overdue for penance', he instead prays for their souls everyday in hopes that his fellow heroes will see Warwick as a shining example of God's work and to emulate his actions on ridding the world of the evils that have pervaded it since.

Powers

 

Power Origin: Magic (Arcane)

Powers are derived from his swords and the buckle on his hat.

  • Swords/'God's Blade of Truth' & 'God's Blade of Goodness' (2)

    • Beyond level material strength

    • Magically forged almost 3,000 years ago

    • Family heirlooms handed down from generation to generation with no mention of any prior  'magical' properties

    • Magical properties were activated due to the lightning strike

    • While wielded, the bearer(s) of one or both swords, so long as the swords are within 30 feet of each other will obtain the following magical abilities:

      • Magical Shielding/'God's Armor' 

        • Bearer(s) will be protected by a magical barrier within 2 inches of skin (NOT clothing) that provides remarkable protection from all forms of damage, including psionic

      • Magic Illusion Sight/'God's Sight'

        • Can see through any and all magical illusions, charms or glamor spells up to remarkable levels

      • Magic Repulsion/'Bane of Evil'

        • Anything magical that comes into contact with the magical blade(s) will be repelled at a good force

      • Magical Divining Rod/'God's Guiding Hand'

        • Swords act as magical divining rods, capable to detecting and pointing to magical sources between poor and greater levels up to a range of 3,000 yards

      • Illumination/'Light of God'

        • Swords when intertwined in each others' hilts for 2 seconds of contact will begin to glow at a typical illumination level for a 2 minute period until the hilts become intertwined again

      • Magical creature control/'God's Love '

        • Any magical creatures of feeble or less reasoning will automatically do what the sword-bearer tells them to do; acts as a remarkable mind control in this regard

        • Range of Influence: 300 yards

        • Lasts for only 30 minutes at a time unless the magical creatures stay/come back into the sword's range of influence

  • Hat Buckle

    • Hat Buckle acts as an amazing level psionic shield to the hat's bearer

    • Hat Buckle also prevent Time Travel and/or Control powers to be used on or against the hat wearer to an amazing level
