In the MDUverse, businesses, government, religious organizations and charities and non-profit organizations that are local, regional, national, international and even interstellar, are quite varied. Some 'familiar' associations might be seen in this universe (Dunk's Donuts might be a tip of the hat to, say, Dunkin' Donuts (TM), for example!), but for the most part, as a rule of thumb, consider the institutions in our 'real life' world exist here also.
