MDU's Earth has nearly a dozen schools of magic teachings and learned communities, categorized by their form of magical energy interaction, focus and/or education. Each of the schools of magic is required, by United Nation's edict, to supply the Super-Powered Registration Act (SRA) with documented registration on each person in their group who has successfully moved from the level of novice to proficient, regardless of age. Whether if those names are actual names or false names is a highly debated topic with the SRA administration.
Schools marked with parenthesis, i.e., " (XXX) ", are schools that are not official schools of magic as per the SRA (or The Conglomerate), but, at one time or another, existed amongst the other schools of magic on Earth.
