MAJOR DEEJ UNIVERSE

Not much has been confirmed about Anihita, but according to her story, she is a time-displaced refugee from the 1st century who was hunted by hateful men and saved from death by a band of Selene worshippers who gave their lives for her to live. She's also stated that she is a powerful warrior born of the Avian race. 

After Anahita and the others of her Avian race were left behind in the 1st century by the 'mages who opened doors to other worlds', humans, hating the Avians for being different, began slaughtering Anahita's fellow Avians. For the next few years, Anahita fought in the name of her Avian people...until the Avians themselves betrayed Anahita to the humans. It was only by the grace of several Selene worshippers that Anihita was able to escape her captivity. Sadly, as the Selene worshippers were holding open the teleportation portal for Anahita, the Selene worshippers were murdered by devout Christian soldiers, leaving Anahita stuck in a pocket of suspended time instead.

For 20 centuries, Anahita was stuck in her invisible pocket of suspended time. It wasn't until the the Soltan Invasion of 2000 before she finally was freed from her two centuries-long imprisonment thanks primarily to the Soltans draining magical energy in the area of the time pocket. as such, Ahahita dropped back in synch with time and was released from the pocket. To Anahita, it was like she'd just left the 1st century seconds before.

When Anahita dropped into the 21st century, she showed up in the middle of a fight between the invading Soltans and several superheroes. Anahita was confused, yelling out to others to tell her what was happening -- all while speaking in her Greek language. Luckily, one such superhero in the battle was Greek and told her what was happening, identifying the Soltans as invaders to Earth.  Anahita engaged the Soltans, decimating them with the ferocity of a true warrior. At the end of the fight, hundreds of people (and the superheroes at the battle) all cheered for her, calling out her name "ANAHITA! ANAHITA!".  Eventually, her name and battle prowess was told to all corners of the globe...including to the Soltans.  

Anahita was happy to be able to fight alongside so many wonderful varieties of humans and beings, but asked what became of her kind, to which few had answers except for vague information about other potential Avians seen before, most of which were believed to either be in hiding...or a myth.

The Soltans, angry at not being made aware of an 'Anahita' from their decades of surveillance and spying on Earth, threw together a grand army to take down Anahita and several other magical beings in one fell swoop. Luckily, human spies in the Soltan ranks warned of the attack, to which dozens of super-powered heroes and several hundred well-trained military troops from several nations all joined forced in one of the larger battles during the Soltan Invasion. During this battle, Anahita met Selenyx, a super-powered leader of a band of Selene-worshippers called the Sisterhood of Selene, fighting in the battle. Together, Selenyx and Anahita fought side-by-side like true warriors against the Soltans, helping to win the battle for Earth's forces. Not long after, Selenyx and Anahita had time to talk, wherein Selenyx was told of the Selene worshipper's efforts to free her back in the 1st century.  Selenyx saw this as an opportunity and invited Anahita to join her and her Sisterhood of Selene after educating Anahita of all that the Sisterhood was.  Anahita not only swore allegiance from that day forward to the Sisterhood, but to Selenyx as well.

Today, Anahita is still a member of the Sistershood of Selene, and is also a member of the later-formed Sisters of Selene super-powered team. Anahita is a difficult person to talk with; she is forceful, 'in your face' about everything, except to her fellow Sisters of Selene, whom she treats with respect. She treats men callously and coarsely, ruffling a lot of 'male egos' when she takes (down) to nearly all men.  Anahita is an avid sister in the Sisterhood and will do anything to protect the Sisterhood and her fellow Sisters of Selene.  She has since learned more about the ultimate fate of the fellow Avians and to this day has no desire to 'mend fences' with her traitorous race.
