History

History

Venus Adams and her twin sister, Zeta Adams, were born 1 minute apart (Zeta being the 'oldest').  Both developed white hair and my the age of 10, both had started developing their mutant-based, fire-like powers. While Venus' powers are more thermally based, Zeta's powers are based on both fire and ionization (electrical discharges).

Born into a superhero family business named 'The Firebirds' that is internationally renown for their selfless dedication to saving lives, Venus became a relatively conscientious and thoughtful child in the family.  She was always experiencing things by watching, vice interacting, however, when she did interact, she attached herself to those she interacted almost to a family level.  Over time, her siblings and parents helped her to be careful. Venus and her sister Zeta both wanted to be a part of the the awesomeness of being heroes and even before they developed their powers, both were on the fast track to becoming amazingly selfless girls.  Zeta enjoyed the thrill of the save, while Venus was more emotionally guided towards helping others. Venus was a bit more willing to go the extra mile to help other in need, such to the point that on a couple of missions, her dedication to humanity almost cost her the lives of others. She does learn her lesson, however you can tell that if she can find a way to sacrifice herself to save someone else, she will.

As her brother once did, Venus (and Zeta as well) successfully certified for an 'age exemption' status under the Superhero Registration Act (SRA) at age 14, allowing her (and Zeta) to use her (their)  powers and (each) enact as a superhero.  Together, twin teenage sister siblings able to use their powers and save people and be considered a superhero...it was a dream come true. The fame, the attention...and of course, the overpowering force that is the media and the paparazzi.

Today, Venus continues in her family of Firebirds under the codename "Venusfire". She is certified to operate and drive any and all vehicles and equipment used by the Firebirds. She is working on her drivers license, however, she already has an age-exempted official pilot's license (they exempted the mandatory 16 years of age requirement to get that license because she was THAT good of a pilot).  She is a kind person, attentive and sometimes a bit shy in front of new people she hasn't met before. She likes boys, however, she seems more comfortable being around girls and women. She hasn't expounded on her sexuality to any degree, and as such, is just starting to explore that world for basically the first time. Venus loves her parents, and respects what they say and tell her, taking their life lessons they teach her, to heart. In combat, she has proven to have a level head when fighting and engaging the enemy, however, once again, if a person, animal or being is hurt or distressed on the battlefield, her first impulse to help save the injured.  She's gotten better about mindlessly helping the injured, but it does still occur on occasion.

Power Origins: Mutant

​

  • Fire Blast

    • Excellent ability to shoot plasmatic fire energy at targets with her hands up to 200 yards away.

    • Can control the intensity of the heat/fire

  • Thermal Radiation

    • Using her fire-based mutant abilities, she can create waves of heat and increases/deceases in ambient and spatial temperatures.

    • Utilizes convection and conduction for heat transfer of her body's radiant heat outward

    • Can utilize this power close-in to body as an aura or extended out to as much as a 200 foot radius

    • Can create a translucent thermal heat barrier around herself (and others if within range) providing excellent protection from all forms of damage except magic and psionic/mental

    • With focus, she can increase her powers an additional level, but losing control can potentially cause a 2-level explosion of the power in the effective range over several seconds before a complete dissolution of the power and its actions. Would need to reactivate her powers after something like this happens, but can only attempt against her baseline psyche.

    • Using her power's effects, over time, she can melt things an entire level higher in materials strength than her inflicted power rank.

    • Can use her thermal radiation to aid in cauterizing wounds, thus allowing a 20% healing capability, but maxed to only a 60% amount due to potential burns/overheated body of the target as a result of done too much (can also induce heat stroke, heat stress, etc.)

    • Can effectively create a good micro-environment based on the temperature increase/decrease in the immediate vicinity of where she uses her powers to include rain, fog, snow and scorching heat, all up to a good level.

    • Remarkable radiation, temperate and energy resistance

    • Good toxic/toxin and psionic protection

  • Thermal Flight

    • Can fly up to 120 mph max at a max altitude of 1200 feet AGL

    • Loses 1/4 of her speed and altitude for each additional 30 lbs of weight she carries

UNIQUE ABILITY: Has a feeble psychic link to her twin sister Zeta AKA Firebolt. Can 'feel' her within a 4 mile range. She'd also perceived that something might be wrong with Zeta if Zeta took more than 1/2 health hit and/or a major psychic attack (perceived by Venus from Zeta anywhere around the world).

    • These grenades have also been useful in combating fire-creatures/villains, suppressing oxygen to their fires and depowering said creatures/villains.​
