The Master Engineer is an unknown, unseen and unverified title of a person known to provide some of the greatest engineering feats, repairs and creations in the criminal empire.

 

For the last 30 years, a person only known by the code-name "Master Engineer" has been contracted by hundreds of organizations, businesses and criminal gangs to help them with their weapons, vehicles, ships, planes and medical equipment, including teleporters.  This engineer works in absolute secrecy and although authorities have attempted to trap and imprison him (or her), they fail each time.  Most of those that had to have direct contact with the Master Engineer are always 'mind wiped' of their association with him (her) wherein even the greatest psychics can't even get a trace or partial bit of information from.

The current international and GUARD warrants for his arrest believe him to be Esteban Terradas, the #2 to Professor Vernon Perse when Perse was working for an unknown financier in Spain on Teleporter technology.  Shortly after a teleporter incident wherein Werewolves from a distant planet came through the portal and almost started an invasion, Professor Terradas went dark and to this day hasn't been found. It was later established that "Esteban Terradas" was only an alias, since the real Esteban Terradas was actual a brilliant and historically famous Spanish mathematician and physicists from the first half of the 20th century.

Today, the Master Engineer still does a few dozen amazing technological 'jobs' for criminal organizations, however, his (her) focus and association have been, and still relate to, the Maritime Marauders.  With the Maritime Marauders, he (she) has built the most innovative teleporter technology ever designed, transporting entire ships, subs and even squadrons to distances believed to be up to 200 miles from their point of teleport origin.  To this day, there still isn't a person (alive) that can identify or even provide clues to whom this 'Master Engineer' is. GUARD believes it to be a powerful mentally enhanced brain-type mutant, but some think he (she) may just simply be a genius-level engineering professor who looks more for the freedom to build and design what he (she) wants rather than get tied to morality, bureaucratic politicians and simpleton scientists that would most like have held him (her) back.
