Street Gangs of
HOUSTON
In Texas, there's an army of street gangs that operate within the state. Each street gang is a gang made up of kids, teenagers and/or young adults not to exceed 50 members; more than 50 members constitutes its own entry under "Gangs".

The following is a list of known street gangs in the Houston, Texas region in the MDU (and are not reflective, representative, nor associative of any existing or defunct gangs in the real world in any respective manner)​.
Bayou Burners
Leader: Jace “Floodgate” Broussard

Location / Territory: Buffalo Bayou industrial stretches, East End flood channels, bridge underpasses, warehouse roads, drainage corridors, and isolated roadways throughout eastern Houston

Brief Description:
The Bayou Burners combine Houston’s street-racing culture, custom truck scene, lowriders, motorcycles, dirt bikes, mechanics, and Gulf Coast backroad knowledge into one highly mobile gang.
They thrive along bayous, flood-control routes, service roads, freeway underpasses, industrial backroads, and forgotten stretches of pavement that become nearly empty late at night.

Their members understand Houston’s terrain unusually well: which roads flood, which underpasses disappear during storms, which industrial routes have minimal police visibility, and which backroads connect neighborhoods faster than the major freeways.
​
The gang earns money through illegal racing, underground betting, stolen performance parts, illicit towing, vehicle modification, and moving contraband through obscure routes overlooked by larger criminal groups.

Black Gold Gang

Brief Description:
The Black Gold Gang exploits Houston’s petroleum economy at street level. Its members target contractors, industrial suppliers, equipment yards, fuel depots, tankers, and businesses supporting refinery and petrochemical operations.
​
Their income comes from stolen fuel, diverted industrial supplies, equipment theft, protection schemes, fraudulent work orders, and hijacked refinery-support shipments. They understand enough about the industrial economy to know which materials are valuable, which facilities are vulnerable, and which legitimate businesses can be pressured into silence.
China Syndrome
Leader: Nina “Meltdown” Navarro

Location / Territory: Sharpstown, Harwin-area commercial corridors, Westchase warehouse zones, electronics wholesalers, security-system contractors, technology-resale districts, and scattered technical safehouses

Brief Description:
China Syndrome is Houston’s premier electronic-disruption street gang.
​
They specialize in shutting down or “frying” a target’s surveillance cameras, alarms, access controls, security networks, lighting, communications, electrical systems, and backup power. Their value lies in making heavily protected locations suddenly blind, dark, or confused before another criminal operation begins.
​
At larger scale, China Syndrome is capable of triggering localized infrastructure failures affecting multiple buildings or portions of a city block. These outages may be used directly against a target—or as deliberate diversions designed to draw police, security, emergency responders, and public attention away from another operation elsewhere.
​
Their capabilities come largely from stolen and repurposed commercial building-security technology and equipment acquired from military subcontractors. Gang members strip, modify, and combine the hardware into proprietary systems that outsiders rarely understand completely.

Brief Description:
Manifest Destiny 7•1•3 is Houston’s premier freight and logistics street gang.
​
They specialize in cargo theft, fraudulent manifests, diverted trucks, hijacked containers, warehouse burglaries, altered shipping documents, illicit freight movement, vehicle-title manipulation, and transporting contraband for larger criminal organizations.
​
The gang’s greatest strength is its understanding of how legitimate freight systems work. Members study loading schedules, container codes, trucking routes, rail transfers, warehouse procedures, cargo documentation, dispatch systems, and shipping-company routines.
Rather than simply stealing freight, Manifest Destiny 7•1•3 prefers to alter its paper trail so that the stolen cargo appears to have been sent exactly where it was supposed to go.
Wallet Sharks
Leader: Vanessa “Ledger” Price

Location / Territory: Downtown Houston, Uptown/Galleria-area nightlife, convention hotels, luxury retail districts, entertainment venues, and upscale commercial zones

Brief Description:
The Wallet Sharks hunt wealth rather than territory.
​
They specialize in identity theft, credit-card fraud, pickpocketing, confidence schemes, stolen luxury goods, electronic-payment theft, hotel burglaries, high-end vehicle break-ins, and financial social engineering.
​
Their strength lies in observation and adaptability. Members learn how to look as though they belong almost anywhere—hotel lobbies, nightlife districts, business conferences, shopping areas, or upscale restaurants. They study habits, routines, credentials, access badges, phones, wallets, vehicle keys, and financial behavior before deciding where to strike.
