In New York City's Manhattan borough, there are a handful of street gangs operate within.  A street gang is a gang made up of children, teenagers and/or young adults not to exceed 50 gang members; more than 50 members constitutes its own entry under "Gangs".

The following is a list of known street gangs in the Manhattan borough of New York City, New York in the MDU (and are not reflective, representative, nor associative of any existing or defunct gangs in the real world in any respective manner):

D-Town Divas

Leader: Danielle “Crownfire” Carter

Number of Members: 26

Location / Territory: Downtown Detroit, Midtown, Brush Park, Greektown, and surrounding entertainment and nightlife districts

Allies: Royal Dogs; Old School Boys

Enemies: Guns & Blow Crew; Sin Serity

Weapons of Choice: Compact handguns, knives, tasers, metal bats

Brief Description:
The D-Town Divas are an all-women Detroit street gang built around confidence, visibility, social influence, and fierce internal loyalty. They operate heavily around clubs, entertainment venues, private parties, and nightlife districts, earning money through protection, illicit event activity, theft, and connections throughout Detroit’s after-dark economy.

Unlike gangs that intentionally disappear into the background, the Divas want to be noticed. Presentation is part of their intimidation strategy: coordinated, fashionable, unmistakable, and unapologetically Detroit.

Brief Description:
The Delray Demons are one of Detroit’s roughest industrial street gangs, rooted in the freight yards, truck corridors, scrapyards, warehouses, and river-adjacent industrial properties of southwest Detroit.

Their criminal activities revolve around stolen freight, scrap, industrial theft, vehicle parts, warehouse intimidation, and protection schemes involving businesses operating within their territory.

Guns & Blow Crew

Leader: Marcus “Blowback” Greene

Number of Members: 22

Location / Territory: West Detroit, motel corridors, warehouse districts, narcotics-market zones, and scattered stash locations

Allies: Sin Serity

Enemies: D-Town Divas; Old School Boys; Royal Dogs

Weapons of Choice: Pistols, short-barreled shotguns, submachine guns, brass knuckles

Brief Description:
The Guns & Blow Crew is an aggressive, profit-driven gang whose reputation comes primarily from narcotics trafficking, illegal firearms, robbery, and intimidation.

Unlike Detroit’s more neighborhood-oriented gangs, Guns & Blow has little sentimental attachment to territory beyond its usefulness. If an area stops generating money, they relocate their operation. Loyalty is primarily to profit and the gang itself.

Mechaboom is Detroit’s mechanically obsessive street gang—a collection of mechanics, fabricators, scavengers, machinists, welders, and destructive tinkerers who have transformed garages and abandoned workshops into gang facilities.

They specialize in stolen machinery, stripped equipment, custom fabrication, salvage, demolition, modified hardware, and occasionally producing specialized equipment for allied gangs.

Motor City Marauders

Leader: Jerome “Overdrive” Banks

Allies: Mechaboom

Enemies: Delray Demons; Royal Dogs; Smokerstaks

Weapons of Choice: Tire irons, pistols, shotguns, heavy chains

Brief Description:
The Motor City Marauders are Detroit’s premier vehicle-theft and automotive crime gang.

They steal performance cars, luxury automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, and specialty vehicles for resale, stripping, export, modification, or use in other criminal operations. Their crews are highly mobile, frequently moving through Detroit’s freeway system before disappearing into garages, storage facilities, and chop shops.

Old School Boys_STREET GANGS_DETROIT_CHATGPT1.jpg

Old School Boys

Leader: Calvin “Cadillac Cal” Mercer

Number of Members: 29

Location / Territory: North End, older Detroit neighborhoods, Woodward Avenue approaches, classic-car gathering locations, and underground racing routes throughout metropolitan Detroit

Allies: D-Town Divas; Royal Dogs

Enemies: Guns & Blow Crew; Mechaboom

Rivalry: Motor City Marauders

Weapons of Choice: Revolvers, brass knuckles, switchblades, tire irons

Brief Description:
The Old School Boys represent two generations of Detroit car culture fused together.

Members favor beautifully restored American performance cars from Detroit’s automotive golden age. Chargers, Challengers, Mustangs, Camaros, Firebirds, GTOs, Torinos, and other classic machines often retain appropriately vintage bodies, paintwork, chrome, and exterior details.

Underneath, almost nothing remains old-school.

Their cars conceal radically upgraded engines, modern drivetrains, performance transmissions, advanced suspension and braking systems, electronic engine management, reinforced components, racing hardware, and nitrous oxide systems. The result is classic Detroit iron capable of humiliating many contemporary performance cars.

The Old School Boys have consequently become Detroit’s premier illegal street-racing gang.

High-stakes races provide significant income, but racing also serves as recruitment. Younger racers frequently challenge what they initially dismiss as older men driving antique muscle cars, only to discover that the cars—and their drivers—are anything but outdated. Talented young racers, mechanics, tuners, and fabricators who earn the gang’s respect are gradually brought into the organization.

Their vehicles also serve as preferred getaway cars during gang operations. Members possess extraordinary familiarity with Detroit’s neighborhoods, alleys, industrial routes, freeway entrances, shortcuts, service roads, and escape routes. Once an Old School Boys driver activates the car’s full performance capability, police pursuit becomes exceptionally difficult.

Unofficial Motto: “Old body. New heart.”

Roachstompers

Leader: Darnell “Crusher” Poole

Number of Members: 27

Location / Territory: Neglected East Side blocks, abandoned housing areas, vacant commercial properties, industrial ruins, and forgotten urban spaces

Allies: Delray Demons

Enemies: Sin Serity; Royal Dogs

Weapons of Choice: Sledgehammers, hatchets, chains, heavy pistols

Brief Description:
The Roachstompers are territorial urban scavengers who thrive in neglected portions of Detroit where legitimate authority and redevelopment remain inconsistent.

They occupy abandoned structures, commandeer empty properties, strip usable materials, intimidate small illicit operators, collect protection money, and aggressively prevent competing gangs from establishing themselves nearby.

Their infamous symbol is a heavy boot crushing an oversized cockroach. The name sounds humorous until someone sees the Roachstompers standing underneath that symbol.

Royal Dogs_STREET GANGS_DETROIT_CHATGPT1.jpg

Royal Dogs

Leader: Terrence “King Hound” Lawson

Number of Members: 32

Location / Territory: East Side residential districts, neighborhood commercial strips, parks, apartment complexes, and community gathering areas

Allies: D-Town Divas; Old School Boys

Enemies: Delray Demons; Motor City Marauders; Guns & Blow Crew

Weapons of Choice: Handguns, chains, batons, knives

Brief Description:
The Royal Dogs are one of Detroit’s strongest neighborhood-identity gangs. They view themselves less as opportunistic criminals and more as a pack defending territory they believe fundamentally belongs to them.

That does not make them benevolent.

Businesses operating inside Royal Dogs territory frequently pay protection, while outsiders attempting to establish operations without permission quickly encounter resistance.

The gang maintains unusually strong internal discipline and places significant value on loyalty, reputation, neighborhood ties, and respecting the hierarchy of the pack.

Sin Serity

Leader: Selena “Velvet Vice” Serrano

Number of Members: 21

Location / Territory: Corktown nightlife areas, warehouse-party locations, private clubs, after-hours venues, and entertainment corridors

Allies: Guns & Blow Crew

Enemies: D-Town Divas; Roachstompers

Weapons of Choice: Compact pistols, knives, tasers, concealed weapons

Brief Description:
Sin Serity operates where nightlife, temptation, secrets, influence, and criminal opportunity intersect.

Rather than relying primarily on open street intimidation, the gang specializes in social infiltration, blackmail, theft, illicit entertainment, information gathering, vice operations, and exploiting compromising situations.

Their greatest rivalry is with the D-Town Divas, whose nightlife interests overlap with theirs but whose culture and methods are significantly different.

The deliberate spelling of Sin Serity reflects the gang itself: sincerity wrapped around sin.

Smokerstaks_STREET GANGS_DETROIT_CHATGPT1.jpg

Smokerstaks

Leader: Luther “Cinder” Shaw

Number of Members: 30

Location / Territory: Detroit industrial riverfront areas, warehouse belts, aging factories, rail-adjacent industrial properties, foundries, and smokestack districts

Allies: Delray Demons; Mechaboom

Enemies: Motor City Marauders; D-Town Divas

Weapons of Choice: Shotguns, pry bars, heavy clubs, incendiary weapons

Brief Description:
The Smokerstaks have transformed Detroit’s abandoned and partially operating industrial landscape into their personal maze.

They occupy forgotten workshops, warehouses, utility corridors, foundries, old factory properties, rail-access points, and industrial compounds offering concealment and numerous entrances and exits.

Their criminal activities center around industrial theft, scavenging, warehouse burglary, stolen equipment, illegal workshops, and providing hidden locations for allied gangs.

Where the Delray Demons embody rust, freight, scrapyards, and trucking, the Smokerstaks represent smoke, foundries, factories, warehouses, and concealed industrial spaces.
