HISTORY

Marcus Vane emerged from the long shadow cast by the Soltan invasion of 2000, though the seeds of his worldview had likely existed well before then. A highly intelligent and disciplined man, Vane built his early career within the world of military planning, strategic security, and transnational crisis response. Whether he wore a formal uniform for most of that life or operated in the orbit of defense ministries, intelligence structures, and private military advisory boards, one fact became clear in retrospect: Marcus Vane spent decades studying how civilizations survive war.

The Soltan invasion did not merely radicalize him. It validated everything he had feared.

Where many saw a distinction between hostile invaders and benevolent extraterrestrial allies, Vane saw only the opening of Earth to permanent non-human influence. In his view, once humanity accepted the presence of any alien civilization on Earth—regardless of its stated intentions—it surrendered control of its own future. He came to believe that Earth’s governments, heroes, and public institutions had failed at the most important task in human history: preserving mankind as the sole master of its own world.

In the early years of the Anti-Alien Army (A3), Vane remained largely unseen. He was not the loudest agitator, nor the most public extremist voice. Instead, he became something much more dangerous: a patient organizer. While A3 burned through waves of unstable recruits, conspiracy zealots, and street-level militants, Vane studied its weaknesses. He watched the movement collapse from a massive, emotionally driven anti-alien backlash into a fragmented underground network hunted by governments and reviled by much of the public.

Most men would have seen that decline as failure. Vane saw refinement.

As support for A3 diminished and the 2017 global protections for non-Terran beings drove the movement underground, Vane helped reshape its surviving remnants into something colder and more durable. He cut away much of the dead weight, favored hardened cells over large mobs, prioritized leadership discipline, and encouraged A3 to rely on targeted violence, sabotage, smuggling, and propaganda instead of open mass movements. Under this emerging doctrine, A3 ceased pretending to be a populist uprising and became what it truly was: a transnational extremist war network.

By the early 2020s, Vane had either outmaneuvered, absorbed, or eliminated rival claimants to A3 leadership. Some disappeared. Some died in raids that were suspiciously convenient. Others simply swore loyalty. When his ascension became undeniable, A3 no longer had a symbolic figurehead shouting from the fringe. It had a Global General.

Under Marcus Vane’s command, A3 became smaller, sharper, and far more dangerous.

He reorganized the movement into branches, directorates, and regional command structures; strengthened black-market supply lines; expanded online recruitment through propaganda-rich media spaces; and pushed A3’s cells toward more strategically meaningful targets. Alien refugees, diplomatic envoys, aid stations, mixed human-alien safehouses, cargo channels, and sympathetic local officials all became part of a broader campaign meant to make Earth hostile to extraterrestrial life without requiring A3 to fight a conventional war.

Recent years have seen a marked increase in anti-alien incidents linked to A3’s resurgence, and intelligence services widely suspect Marcus Vane as the architect behind that renewed campaign. Though he frames his movement as one of “human preservation” and “planetary sovereignty,” his methods reveal the truth: Vane is not a defender of humanity, but the commander of a hate-driven global insurgency built on fear, bloodshed, and calculated xenophobia.

Where lesser radicals burn hot and vanish, Marcus Vane endures.

He is not the loudest man in the room.

He is the one who leaves it knowing exactly who will die next.
