Unrevealed

Doctor Greene is GUARD Medical’s master of human care — a brilliant Atlanta surgeon whose speed, nerve, and stubborn refusal to lose patients made him the natural leader of HCARE.

Personality:

Doctor Greene is sharp, confident, witty, and deeply committed to saving lives. He carries himself like a man who knows exactly how good he is, but his confidence is backed by decades of skill, pressure, and results.

He is cool under fire, fast with a scalpel, and rarely intimidated by impossible cases. He can be charming, sarcastic, and sometimes too pleased with his own appeal, but beneath the “ladies’ man” surface is a physician with a hard moral center: when someone is on his table, he fights for them.

Greene is the human-medicine anchor of GUARD Medical. In a division filled with android doctors, alien healers, metahuman physicians, and exotic biology, Greene represents the best of ordinary human medical excellence.

HISTORY

Before joining GUARD, Dr. Marcus Greene was already considered one of the best surgeons in the United States. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Greene built his reputation the hard way: through education, discipline, hospital experience, and an almost relentless need to master every surgical challenge placed in front of him.

He became known as a doctor who could perform nearly every major form of human surgery, including brain surgery, trauma surgery, and complex emergency procedures. His colleagues respected his intelligence. His patients respected his results. His rivals, when honest, admitted that Greene had the one quality no medical school could fully teach:

speed without panic.

Greene could move quickly without becoming reckless. He could make decisions under pressure without freezing. He could cut, repair, stabilize, and close with the kind of controlled urgency that made other doctors either admire him or resent him.

By the late 1980s, Greene had become highly successful, but success alone did not satisfy him. Civilian medicine had given him prestige, wealth, reputation, and no shortage of difficult patients, but Greene wanted something more demanding. He wanted work that tested him beyond hospital politics, scheduled surgeries, and predictable emergency rooms.

In 1990, Greene began working with GUARD.

He joined because he wanted greater challenges in his career and life. GUARD delivered.

With GUARD, Greene found himself treating injuries and conditions ordinary hospitals rarely saw: collapsed buildings, combat trauma, disaster victims, superhuman collateral injuries, exotic toxins, mass-casualty events, field-hospital overload, and emergency operations in unstable environments. The work was dangerous, unpredictable, and often brutal.

He loved it.

Not because people were hurt, but because he was needed.

Greene’s reputation inside GUARD grew quickly. He became known as the doctor who could walk into a field hospital during chaos, assess the room, bark three orders, scrub in, and save the patient everyone else had mentally started to lose. He did not always make friends with his bedside manner, but he earned trust where it mattered most: in the operating room.

As GUARD Medical expanded into a larger organization, Greene became the obvious leader for HCARE — Human Care.

HCARE exists to ensure that human patients do not become secondary inside a division increasingly dealing with aliens, metahumans, unknown pathogens, artificial bodies, and exotic medical crises. Greene understood the importance of that balance. He respected Doc Vega’s alien medicine, Dr. M.U. Tation’s metahuman expertise, and Doctor Detroit’s extraordinary command perspective, but he never allowed GUARD to forget one thing:

most people GUARD saves are still ordinary humans.

Under Greene’s leadership, HCARE became responsible for human medical treatment, trauma care, surgery, field hospitals, preventive health, disaster medicine, civilian casualty support, refugee medical operations, and GUARD personnel health. It is the division’s largest and most familiar medical service, but Greene refuses to let “familiar” mean “simple.”

To him, human medicine is not basic medicine. It is the foundation.

Doctor Greene remains sharp, demanding, and sometimes exasperatingly charming. At 55, he is aware that age is catching up with him, but he refuses to act old. His youth may be fading, but his confidence, wit, surgical speed, and appetite for challenge remain very much alive.

Inside GUARD Medical, he is the human doctor other doctors look to when a case gets ugly, a patient starts crashing, and someone needs to make the call.
