RELATIONS:

  • Su Dae-hyun — Father, Alive

    • Former Republic of Korea Army logistics specialist who later worked in armored transport and commercial security. Dae-hyun taught Cindi firearms safety, route planning, vehicle inspection, and the principle that valuable cargo is most vulnerable when people assume someone else is protecting it.

    • He is now retired and believes his daughter works in international casino security. Their relationship is distant but not openly hostile.

  • Park Min-seo — Mother, Alive

    • Former casino dealer and gaming-floor supervisor from Incheon. Min-seo possessed an exceptional memory for cards, wagers, repeat customers, and suspicious betting behavior.

    • She introduced Cindi to professional gambling environments but strongly disapproved of her daughter’s growing comfort with violence.

    • Cindi anonymously pays for her parents’ home, medical expenses, and personal security.

  • Su Min-jae — Older Brother, Deceased

    • Min-jae worked for a private valuables-transport company. He was killed during an organized robbery that was later revealed to have involved compromised company executives.

    • His death became a defining influence on Cindi’s belief that loyalty without leverage is worthless.

  • Han Ji-won — Former Partner, Status Unknown

    • A former police tactical officer who worked with Cindi during her early career in private casino security. The two developed a close personal and professional relationship.

    • Ji-won disappeared after attempting to expose Cindi’s connection to an organized asset-theft operation. No body was recovered.

    • Cindi refuses to discuss whether she killed him, protected him, or allowed the Blackjacks to remove him.

CHARACTER SUMMARY

Diamond Queen is a quiet, disciplined, and highly observant killer who treats every situation as an exercise in valuation. She rarely acts from anger and prefers to determine what a person possesses, what they fear losing, and whether they are more useful alive or dead. Her silence is not shyness; it is a deliberate method of encouraging others to reveal more than they intended.

Cindi is polished, alluring, and intimidating without needing to seek attention. She favors black clothing with deep red tactical accents, tinted glasses, carefully concealed weapons, and arm tattoos that combine Korean imagery with personal operational meaning. She frequently lights a cigarette before negotiations or violence, using the pause to study reactions and establish control over the pace of the encounter.

She possesses little conventional empathy, but she is not indiscriminately cruel. Cindi respects competence, preparation, restraint, and individuals who protect those placed in their care. Her concealed support of her parents, continued grief over her brother, and uncertainty surrounding Han Ji-won reveal emotional attachments that she refuses to acknowledge openly.

Within the Blackjacks, Diamond Queen is loyal because Bruno gives her access to valuable targets and recognizes the difference between reckless destruction and profitable force. She does not need to rule the organization; she needs to know that when something important is stolen, threatened, or withheld, she will be the person sent to claim it.

History

Raised Around Risk

Cindi Su was born Su Jin-hee in Incheon, South Korea.

Her father, Su Dae-hyun, served in military logistics before entering the private-security industry. Her mother, Park Min-seo, worked as a casino dealer and later became a gaming-floor supervisor.

Cindi grew up between two systems built around controlled risk.

From her father, she learned routes, schedules, weapons handling, defensive driving, and the importance of contingency planning. From her mother, she learned probability, observation, card behavior, customer psychology, and the quiet hierarchy of a casino floor.

She was an unusually reserved child. She spoke little, watched constantly, and remembered details other people ignored.

Where others saw luxury, Cindi saw security weaknesses.

Where others saw gamblers, she saw patterns of greed, fear, and overconfidence.

The Death of Min-jae

Cindi’s older brother, Min-jae, worked for a company that transported currency, precious metals, gemstones, and confidential materials between banks, casinos, and private clients.

During one assignment, his convoy was attacked.

Company officials initially claimed that Min-jae had violated procedure and caused the loss. Cindi did not believe them. She reviewed his route history, shift records, vehicle assignments, and the internal timing of the company’s public statement.

The attack had been planned using internal information.

Several executives had cooperated with the thieves and intended to blame the dead transport team.

Cindi began investigating independently.

Within six months, two of the compromised executives were dead, one disappeared, and a fourth transferred a large amount of money into an account controlled by Min-jae’s widow.

Authorities never proved Cindi’s involvement.

The experience taught her that justice was unreliable but recovery could be engineered.

Casino Security

Using the internationally adopted name Cindi Su, she entered private security and received training in firearms, protective operations, close-quarters defense, surveillance, and high-value transport.

Her quiet manner and polished appearance made her effective inside casinos, where overtly aggressive security could disturb wealthy customers.

Cindi learned to identify:

  • Card cheats

  • Inside thieves

  • Loan fraud

  • Chip laundering

  • Collusion between dealers and players

  • Surveillance blind spots

  • Concealed weapons

  • False high rollers

  • Criminal reconnaissance teams

  • Employees preparing to steal

She was rarely the first person to react.

She preferred to observe until she knew everyone involved.

Then she acted decisively.

The Diamond Circuit

Cindi’s career changed when she was assigned to protect a private gambling circuit where wealthy clients wagered gemstones, bearer bonds, corporate shares, art, land rights, and political favors rather than ordinary cash.

The games were technically illegal but protected by influential participants.

Cindi became fascinated by the way ownership could change through a single card.

She began gambling privately and proved highly capable. She was not as naturally gifted as Bruno, but she had patience, excellent memory, and the ability to calculate when an opponent’s confidence exceeded their actual position.

She also discovered that the circuit’s organizers regularly stole from losing clients a second time—first through the game and then during asset transfer.

Cindi devised a response.

She allowed the organizers to believe they had successfully stolen a shipment of diamonds from one defeated player. She then intercepted the thieves, recovered the stones, killed the operation’s leader, and sold the diamonds through a separate network.

The surviving criminals began calling her the Diamond Queen.

She kept the name.

Crossing the Blackjacks

One of the stolen assets had indirectly belonged to a financial partner of the Blackjacks.

Blackjack Bruno ordered an investigation and expected to find another ambitious thief.

Instead, he found that Cindi had identified the entire theft network, recovered most of the missing property, and retained only a calculated percentage as her fee.

Bruno arranged a meeting.

Cindi arrived armed, carrying documentation showing every person who had participated in the theft and where the remaining assets had been moved.

She offered Bruno the list in exchange for a percentage of anything recovered.

Bruno recognized both the insult and the professionalism.

He paid her.

Then he recruited her.

The Diamonds Division

Under Bruno, Cindi created the Diamonds Division, the Blackjacks unit responsible for high-value property, physical security, strategic recovery, and precision enforcement.

Its duties include:

  • Recovering gambling debts secured by physical assets

  • Protecting Blackjacks vaults and money transfers

  • Securing gemstones, art, currency, and bearer instruments

  • Recovering stolen casino property

  • Extracting personnel carrying sensitive information

  • Identifying and removing internal thieves

  • Conducting high-risk acquisitions

  • Escorting important Blackjacks clients

  • Eliminating threats that cannot be bribed or controlled

  • Protecting criminal meetings held at selected casinos

  • Moving valuables between jurisdictions

  • Testing casino security through covert penetration exercises

The Diamonds Division operates with greater discipline than most Blackjacks enforcement units.

Cindi forbids unnecessary destruction. A dead target may be acceptable; damaged property is not.

Her standing instruction is simple:

“People are replaceable. Value is not.”

The Diamond Method

Cindi does not kill impulsively.

She evaluates targets according to four questions:

  1. What do they possess?

  2. Who else wants it?

  3. What will their removal change?

  4. Is the target worth more alive?

She may stalk a target for days or weeks, learning travel habits, relationships, addictions, security patterns, and financial vulnerabilities.

When possible, she takes everything useful before killing them.

A target may lose:

  • Money

  • Access codes

  • Weapons

  • Property deeds

  • Corporate control

  • Gambling markers

  • Confidential data

  • Political leverage

  • Personal secrets

  • Trusted employees

Only after the target has been stripped of value does Cindi decide whether they remain useful.

Her murders are usually controlled, quiet, and difficult to trace. She prefers suppressed firearms, knives, toxins, garrotes, staged accidents, or attacks conducted during electronic disruption.

The Cigarette

Cindi began smoking during her early security career, initially as a way to justify stepping outside buildings and observing loading areas, staff entrances, and parking routes.

The habit became part of her operational identity.

Her cigarettes may be ordinary, chemically treated, or fitted with specialized filters. Several can emit knockout compounds when lit.

She is known to calmly light a cigarette immediately before violence, not because she needs courage but because it forces impatient opponents to wait.

Cindi occasionally uses a long black-and-red cigarette holder during formal casino events. The holder may contain filters, analytical sensors, or a concealed single-shot mechanism depending on the assignment.

Tattoos

Cindi’s arm tattoos are based on stylized Korean cloud, blade, and diamond motifs.

The visible designs are not purely decorative. Certain lines conceal tiny scars from subdermal equipment compartments, and some patterns serve as reference marks for drawing concealed weapons by touch.

The tattoo on her upper arm includes an abstract representation of Min-jae’s final transport route.

She has never explained this to anyone.

A Queen Without a Court

Cindi is considered attractive and uses that perception when useful, but she does not seek emotional dependence or romantic validation.

She has had partners and temporary lovers, yet rarely permits anyone access to her private life. She dislikes being touched unexpectedly and never sleeps in a room without first identifying at least two exits.

The disappearance of Han Ji-won remains one of the few subjects capable of disturbing her composure. Records suggest he discovered evidence connecting Cindi to the Blackjacks and planned to expose her.

Some investigators believe Cindi killed him.

Others believe she allowed him to disappear under a new identity.

Bruno knows the answer but has never revealed it.

Present-Day Operations

Today, Diamond Queen is one of Blackjack Bruno’s most dependable field commanders.

She is deployed when the Blackjacks require:

  • A stolen asset recovered

  • A vault secured

  • A traitor identified

  • A high-value target abducted

  • A criminal auction protected

  • A shipment moved through hostile territory

  • A rival casino penetrated

  • A dangerous witness silenced

  • A debt collected without uncontrolled chaos

  • A property seized intact

Cindi frequently works ahead of other Blackjacks operatives, identifying entry points, internal collaborators, escape routes, and the exact moment when resistance will be weakest.

She does not consider herself a sadist.

Pain is merely one possible cost of refusing to surrender something valuable.
