SERGEANT HELLFIRE

Mason Grant, a U.S. Marine Corps, MOS 0351 Infantry Assaultman from Mobile, Alabama, was decorated for valor during the Soltan Invasion (2000), where he famously led a 6-man squad in holding the line against a Soltan war machine in the ruins of Pittsburgh—using nothing more than scavenged incendiary devices and a damaged flamethrower.

After the war, Grant continued to serve in various black-ops roles, specializing in breach-and-burn tactics, asset denial, and bunker clearing. After testifying against a defense contractor accused of treasonous tech transfers, Grant was dishonorably discharged under fabricated charges and blacklisted from employment.

Bitter but unbroken, Grant was recruited in 2015 by the Military Order of Patriots, where he took on the callsign “Sergeant Hellfire”—a nod to his scorched-earth combat style and unshakable patriotism.

Sergeant Hellfire is fanatically loyal to General Patrick and unwaveringly committed to Colonel Hamilton. Government media portray him as a ruthless, out-of-control arsonist. Within the Order, however, he is seen as a necessary force of retribution—“the fire that purifies.” His burning armor and American flag patch have become a psychological icon within the MOP—used in propaganda posters with the slogan: “Let the traitors feel the heat of justice.”

One of his most famous media quotes is:

“The Constitution wasn’t written in pencil so it could be erased. It was written in ink—and if need be, I’ll burn that message into the heart of every traitor.”

Recently, Sergeant Hellfire was involved in such MOP operations as:

• Operation Crimson Fog

  • Sergeant Hellfire led a distraction and suppression team during a blacksite extraction in Colorado. Used advanced Soltan flame arcs to disable perimeter drones and force an enemy evac.

• Civilian Evac Incident

  • During a raid in rural Texas, Hellfire deliberately shielded a group of civilians from crossfire using his armor and directed flame walls to block enemy snipers—earning unexpected praise even from opposition forces.

Currently, Sergeant Hellfire has been assigned to support Colonel Hamilton directly in all offensive operations. He is to be deployed as primary breach agent in Alpha-Seven’s rotation.
