History

History

Isabel Guerrero is a Cuban teenage girl who was ostracized by her Cuban parents after she had an 'unauthorized' date with her boyfriend. The parents, members of the evil CANIS black market, sold her to an American science firm (ZENITH Labs) for experimentation that was most likely going to end with her eventual death.

During the experimentation on her, the scientists empowered her vocal cords, giving her sonic powers, very much like they did with another particular individual who they'd previously experimented on. In a final test of those powers that was supposed to end her life, she instead was able to break free, destroying the lab in its entirety in the process.

Devastated over what had happened to her, she was found by a group of nuns who nursed her back to life and eventually sent her to the United States for medical treatment in Florida, further saving her life. After her recovery, she had little choice but to register herself and her powers. Sadly, no foster homes would take her...that is until a superhero named "Alabama" showed up and took her in.

 

Shortly thereafter, Alabama created the Southern super hero team called the 'Southern Stars'. Isabel, now codenamed 'Skreem', was one of the first to be a part of the team.

Today, Skreem is a healthy, super-powered American citizen, superhero and member of the Southern Stars. She has since forgotten about her Cuban parents and her past and is now primed for adventurous independence and a singing career as well as using her powers for good. Alabama is no longer considered her guardian since she aged out at age 18, however, she still considers him her 'hermano' (brother).

  • Sonic Voice Amplification/Generation

    • Can amplify own voice up to excellent levels of sonic energy intensity

    • Can direct voice in a 45 degree arc from direction of mouth

    • Range: 40 feet with reduced intensity every additional 10 feet

  • Sonic Blast

    • Can generate a focused good sonic energy blast up to 10 feet away to a 6 x 6 foot area

  • Subsonic Frequencies Variation

    • Using her sonic powers, with concentration, she can emit subsonic sounds that can affect animals, security devices and counter radar and sonar waves

    • Can 'hear' up to dozens of different radio waves at varying frequencies if she concentrates

      • She is already attuned to police channels and emergency services channels/frequencies​

      • She can filter the different radio waves to listen to one or two at a time, including anything unencrypted (two-way radios, AM, FM, Short Wave, Weather station frequencies, etc.)

  • Ventriloquism/Targeted Whispers​

    • Using her powers, she can throw her voice up to 40 feet away, making it sound like its coming from a targeted location and/or person​

    • Using her powers, she can target her own whispers to a person to communicate in such as way that only that targeted person can hear her
